This is your chance to make Bowring Park your own!
This fun and engaging free workshop is designed for kids to unleash their creativity by decorating their own birdfeeders. Once completed, you’ll then have the choice between taking your birdfeeder home or donating it to Bowring Park so it can become a permanent feature right here at the park.
We’ll hang it up around the park and take good care of it for you. Just make sure that you label it so that you can show off your birdfeeder next time you’re at the park!
We’ll provide all the materials (birdfeeders, a variety of paints, brushes, and embellishment) so everyone can craft a unique sanctuary for our feathered friends. This hands-on activity not only encourages artistic expression but also fosters a love for nature and environmental stewardship.
The day doesn’t end there! Our weekly gardening club meets every Thursday at 1pm. This free, kid-friendly activity includes spending time in our beautiful gardens, learning about fruit, veg and plants, planting techniques and caring for plants.
Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot for a morning filled with creativity and nature appreciation!
This workshop is delivered in partnership with Shelter England.
