Fix it is back!
Why throw it away when you can fix it?
Following a successful pilot period earlier this year, we are delighted to announce that Fix it is back. Thanks to funding from the Merseyside Recycling & Waste Authority, this phase of Fix it will run until March 2026 with workshops delivered throughout Merseyside.
Fix It is a free community repair initiative, helping people across Merseyside fix broken items, learn new skills, and reduce waste - all at no cost.
Keep up to date on Fix it and all upcoming sessions here on the Bowring Park website or on the Bowring Park instagram.
What’s to come?
This phase of Fix it is going to be slightly different to the pilot project. This time we will be bringing Fix it to a wider audience, delivering sessions in different areas around Merseyside.
Workshops will be delivered monthly covering repairs around electronics, clothes, bicycles and food waste.
Some of the first sessions have already been announced and are available to book onto here. More workshops and events will be announced over the coming weeks.
To end this phase of the project, we will be hosting a Repair Festival at Bowring Park in March 2026. For more details, take a look below.

BOWRING PARK REPAIR FESTIVAL
March 2026
We will be celebrating the Fix it project with a Repair Festival right here at Bowring Park.
We will be bringing together all of our partners and volunteers to bring their repair expertise to the park. Free electronic repairs, bicycle repairs, clothes repairs and food waste prevention sessions will be going on throughout the day.
There will also be live music, demonstrations, classes, activities and more to create a full festival day at Bowring.
More details will be released closer to the time.
