Join us on Monday 6 April for a bank holiday family fun day at Bowring Park!

The weather forecast is looking sunny and we’ve got the perfect plan for you to make the most of that extra day off.

Activities on all day include:

  • Bouncy castle and slides

  • Face painting and glitter tattoos

  • Family games

  • Local market stalls

  • Live music

  • Ice cream

  • More to be announced

Activities on at certain times are:

  • Easter bunny visit (11am - 12pm)

  • Games with prizes (11am - 12pm)

  • Free kids craft workshops - sign up here

Easter Craft Event
in Huyton Village

DATE: Saturday 4 April

Huyton Village is the place to be on the 4th of April!

Huyton Village Green is hosting an Easter themed craft workshop from 11am - 3pm. This free drop-in workshop will be a chance for your little ones to take part in some crafts, learn new skills and enjoy this Easter.

No sign ups necessary, just drop in on the day.

Scavenger Hunt

Join the 2026 Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt at Bowring Park!

Your kids can take part in this free trail around the park, finding all the hidden eggs, even getting a prize at the end!

No need to sign up, just pick up your scavenger hunt sheet from the Coach House on the 5th of April and find the eggs.

Join us for FREE Forest School sessions at Bowring Park this May half term, designed for children aged 5–11.

Each session takes place in our dedicated forest school area, where kids spend time outdoors learning through hands-on activities, developing practical skills, and exploring nature.

Sessions encourage teamwork, curiosity, and confidence as children make new friends, try simple bushcraft and nature crafts, and discover the local environment.

Weather appropriate clothing is recommended.

Spaces are limited, please book early to secure a place.

The sessions are being delivered in partnership with the Wellbeing & Nature Alliance. The Alliance is a partnership of local businesses who are all working together to deliver wellbeing activities over the next 12 months.

Family Cooking Workshop at Bowring Park

Join us this half term for a family cooking workshop in the Loft at Bowring Park!

This hands-on session is a fantastic chance for families to take part in every step of the cooking process, from prepping to cooking and learn recipes to use at home. At the end, share your creations in a communal setting and enjoy the delicious results together.

All food and equipment are provided. It’s a great way to learn new recipes and embrace sustainable cooking. This event is delivered in partnership with Fed Up CIC thanks to funding from Knowsley Council through the Knowsley Community Grant Fund.

Cultivate your skills and grow our community garden alongside fellow enthusiasts in a friendly, hands-on environment.

These sessions offer a wonderful opportunity for participants of all experience levels to get outdoors and connect with nature. Led by our passionate, expert hortilculturalist and local volunteers, each session focuses on the seasonal needs of the garden from the first sowing of spring seeds to the rich harvests of autumn.

Join us to learn sustainable gardening techniques, share your own growing tips, and enjoy the physical and mental benefits of working in the fresh air. Whether you are a seasoned grower or a complete beginner, our sessions are designed to be accessible, educational, and a great way to make new friends.

All tools and equipment are provided. Please wear sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing.

These sessions offer a wonderful opportunity for participants of all ages and abilities to deepen their understanding of the local environment. Each walk is thoughtfully themed around the changing seasons, providing fresh insights and experiences throughout the year.

Join us as we stroll through the park and nearby areas, enjoying both gentle exercise and engaging environmental education in a welcoming and accessible setting.
